PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is an American animal rights organization based in Norfolk, Virginia, and led by Ingrid Newkirk, its international president. A nonprofit corporation with nearly 400 employees, it claims that it has 6.5 million members and supporters, in addition to claiming that it is the largest animal rights group in the world. Its slogan is "Animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, use for entertainment, or abuse in any other way."
Animal Legal Defense Fund
The Animal Legal Defense Fund is an American non-profit law organization that aims to protect the rights and advance the interests of animals through the legal system. It was founded in 1979, by attorneys active in shaping the emerging field of animal law. The ALDF has campaigned for stronger enforcement of anti-animal cruelty laws and more humane treatment of animals. Their activities include filing lawsuits, providing legal assistance to prosecutors handling cruelty cases, working to strengthen state anti-cruelty statutes and hosting seminars, workshops and other outreach efforts. In addition to their national headquarters in Cotati, California, the Animal Legal Defense Fund maintains an office in Portland, Oregon.

Dolphin Research Center
The Dolphin Research Center is a dolphinarium on Grassy Key, Florida. The series of saltwater lagoons carved out of the shoreline is home to a family of dolphins and California sea lions. It features experiences where visitors can learn about marine mammals and the environment and also swim with, hand-signal, or enjoy other interactive programs with the dolphins.
Cheetah Conservation Fund
Cheetah Conservation Fund's (CCF) mission is to be the internationally recognized centre of excellence in the conservation of cheetahs and their ecosystems. CCF will work with all stakeholders to develop best practices in research, education, and land use to benefit all species, including people. While CCF's main headquarters are in Namibia -- the country with the largest number of wild cheetah, its reach and vision are worldwide. CCF has close links and assists in training and sharing program successes with other countries where cheetah live. CCF's international program includes distributing CCF materials, lending resources and support, and providing training through Africa and the rest of the world. Efforts are currently underway to develop new conservation programs or support existing cheetah conservation efforts.

The American Anti-Vivisection Society is an organization created with the goal of eliminating a number of different procedures done by medical and cosmetic groups in relation to animal cruelty in the United States. It seeks to help the betterment of animal life and human-animal interaction through legislation reform.
