Environmental Defense Fund or EDF is a United States–based nonprofit environmental advocacy group. The group is known for its work on issues including global warming, ecosystem restoration, oceans, and human health, and advocates using sound science, economics and law to find environmental solutions that work. It is nonpartisan, and its work often advocates market-based solutions to environmental problems.
Appalachian Mountain Club
Appalachian Mountain Club is the oldest outdoor group in the United States. Created in 1876 to explore and preserve the White Mountains in New Hampshire, it has expanded throughout the northeastern U.S., with 12 chapters stretching from Maine to Washington, D.C. The AMC's 275,000 members, advocates, and supporters mix outdoor recreation, particularly hiking and backpacking, with environmental activism. Additional activities include cross-country skiing, whitewater and flatwater canoeing and kayaking, sea kayaking, sailing, rock climbing and bicycle riding. The Club has about 2,700 volunteers, who lead roughly 7,000 trips and activities per year. The organization publishes a number of books, guides, and trail maps.
National Outdoor Leadership School
The National Outdoor Leadership School is a non-profit outdoor education school based in the United States dedicated to teaching environmental ethics, technical outdoors skills, wilderness medicine, risk management and judgment, and leadership on extended wilderness expeditions and in traditional classrooms. The NOLS mission is to be the leading source and teacher of wilderness skills and leadership that serve people and the environment. NOLS runs courses on six continents, with courses in a variety of wilderness environments and for almost any age group.
National Parks Conservation Association
The mission of the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) is to protect and enhance America's National Parks for present and future generations. Established in 1919, NPCA is an independent, nonpartisan voice working to address major threats facing the National Park System. We advocate for the national parks and the National Park Service; educate decision-makers and the public about the importance of preserving the parks; help to convince members of Congress to uphold the laws that protect the parks and to support new legislation to address threats to the parks; fight attempts to weaken these laws in the courts; and assess the health of the parks and park management to better inform our advocacy work.
Teton Science Schools
Teton Science Schools have been teaching about the natural world and the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem since 1967. The organization has educated, trained and inspired thousands of children, youth and adults, bringing them together through the study of nature and its extension, place-based education. Six innovative programs serve students from across Wyoming, the Intermountain West, the nation and around the world. Our programs include educational programs for people of all ages, a graduate program, the Teacher Learning Center, Journeys School, Conservation Research Center, and Wildlife Expeditions.
Shelburne Farms is a nonprofit education center for sustainability, working farm, and National Historic Landmark on the shores of Lake Champlain in Shelburne, Vermont. The property is nationally significant as a well-preserved example of a Gilded Age "ornamental farm", developed in the late 19th century with architecture by Robert Henderson Robertson and landscaping by Frederick Law Olmsted.
NatureBridge is a nonprofit organization that provides environmental education programs in six national park locations: Yosemite National Park, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Olympic National Park, Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, Channel Islands, Prince William Forest and Shenandoah National Parks.

Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park is a garden themed family theme park in Gilroy, California, United States. The park has 22 rides and five attractions. It is also home of the Circus Trees, created by Axel Erlandson. The park was designed and built by Michael Bonfante. It originally opened in July 2001.
