Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana
Founded in 1982, Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana is leading the fight against hunger and building food security in South Louisiana by providing food access, advocacy, education and disaster response. Every year, Second Harvest secures millions of pounds of food that otherwise would have gone to waste. Our work helps ensure that these meals make it to the dinner tables of thousands of families struggling with hunger in South Louisiana. In the last year, we provided 24 million meals to 210,000 individuals across 23 South Louisiana parishes.

Arkansas Foodbank, the largest food bank in Arkansas, is a member of Feeding America and the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance. Its recent merger with the Arkansas Rice Depot creates new and innovative programming focused on serving hungry Arkansans with more healthy and nutritious food. Programs like Food For Kids, Food For Families, and Food For Seniors provide food and other resources for more than 450 food pantries, soup kitchens, schools, colleges, shelters, senior centers, summer feeding sites, and other agencies that provide aid directly to hungry Arkansans. The Foodbank primarily serves 33 counties in Central and Southern Arkansas but also assists other Feeding America food banks in the state and region. Lovin’ Spoonfuls is the first organization of its kind in Massachusetts and the largest food rescue agency in New England. Established in 2010, Lovin’ Spoonfuls serves nearly 40 cities and towns across Eastern Massachusetts and works with more than 200 partners. Waste Not occupies a very unique niche in our community. We are not a food bank, yet we feed thousands upon thousands of hungry people every day. Our trucks and drivers are on the road six days per week, beginning at 6:30am, collecting an average of 6,000 pounds of excess perishable food daily from restaurants, resorts, caterers, grocers and various food purveyors - food that would otherwise be thrown away. We deliver the food the same day to more than 100 diverse agencies that feed the hungry including schools, after-school programs, daycare centers, rehabilitation centers, transition homes and senior facilities.
